Become a Kiwanis Member

Have you been looking to do some volunteering for good causes in your community? Consider joining us and becoming a member of our Kiwanis club!

We have meetings every Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Pizza Ranch (2717 W. 41st Street) in Sioux Falls. We host speakers from the local area and beyond to share information about organizations, events, volunteer opportunities, and general information from our community. We also do a wide variety of service projects throughout the year.

How do I join?

You can submit a membership application below. A prospective member will be officially inducted into the club at a meeting after their application is accepted by the Board of Directors and their dues are received. We encourage prospective members to attend at least one meeting before officially joining to make sure the club is a good fit!

What is expected from members?

We do not expect our members to attend every single meeting or service project.  We are all busy with work, family life, social commitments, and a million other things.  We plan a wide array of meetings and service projects so that you can participate in projects when they fit into your schedule. Two or three times a year, we ask that each member provide the program for the club meeting, either by inviting a speaker, identifying a service project we can complete during the meeting, or leading a social activity for the meeting. You can be creative as you plan programs, and we support each other to find programming for our assigned days.

How much does it cost?

We charge $110 per year for membership dues. Of that amount, $52 goes to Kiwanis International, $13 covers liability insurance, $4 covers Officers and Directors Insurance, $8 provides for the Kiwanis Magazine, $30 goes to the District, and $3 stays within the club. In the first year you join, your dues are pro-rated depending on how far into the Kiwanis administrative year you join.
